The AICC Advisory Group brings together subject‑matter experts who provide independent, strategic advice to strengthen our governance, community safety, advocacy, and digital capability. This group supports the Management Committee by offering specialist insight while holding no decision‑making authority. Once appointed, our Advisory Group members and their professional profiles will be introduced here.

Expression of Interest – AICC Advisory Group & Subject Matter Experts

The Australian Iranian Community Council (AICC) is inviting Expressions of Interest from qualified and experienced professionals within our community to join the AICC Advisory Group as volunteer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

This group will play a vital role in strengthening AICC’s governance, advocacy, community programs, and long‑term strategic direction. Once appointed, Advisory Group members will be featured on our website with their photo and a short professional biography.

Who We’re Looking For

We seek individuals who bring strong professional expertise, integrity, and a commitment to community service. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Relevant industry qualifications in their field
  • Demonstrated professional experience and subject matter knowledge
  • Strong communication and advisory capability
  • A willingness to collaborate with AICC’s Management Committee
  • Availability to attend one virtual meeting per month to review recent actions and contribute to forward planning

Areas of Expertise

AICC welcomes applications from professionals across a range of fields, including but not limited to:

  • Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Community Safety, Wellbeing & Cultural Sensitivity
  • Advocacy, Government Relations & Public Policy
  • Community Development, Inclusion & Social Cohesion
  • Digital Systems, Cybersecurity & Information Management

Role of the Advisory Group

SMEs will provide independent, evidence‑based advice to support AICC’s work in:

  • Supporting advocacy and policy submissions
  • Ensuring cultural, ethical, and professional standards
  • Contributing to strategic planning and future initiatives
