Parliamentary Petitions
Parliamentary petitions are one of the most accessible and effective ways for community members to raise issues directly with the Australian Parliament. When a petition is submitted and verified, it must be formally presented in the House of Representatives, requiring the Government to provide an official written response. For communities seeking visibility, fairness, and action, including the Iranian‑Australian community, petitions are a vital democratic tool that amplify collective voices and bring urgent matters to national attention.
