Dr. Somaye (Somi) Khani is an organisational development and learning professional with a background in education, leadership capability, and community engagement. She brings a strong focus on building structured, sustainable, and people-centred initiatives that support both individual growth and collective impact.

With academic training in sociology and ongoing studies in organisational psychology, Somi combines a deep understanding of social dynamics with practical experience in designing and delivering programs that strengthen communication, leadership, and community cohesion.

Somi has been actively engaged in cultural and community initiatives both in Iran and Australia, including leading and coordinating grassroots projects during recent civic movements. Somi brings a strong foundation in research, analytical thinking, and structured communication that directly supports the governance and administrative responsibilities of the AICC Secretary role. Somi’s skills reflect a high level of organisation, precision, and information management, essential for maintaining accurate records, preparing committee documentation, and coordinating internal processes.

With strengths in academic writing, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the management of complex information flows, Somi contributes clarity, consistency, and procedural discipline to AICC’s operations. Somi’s ability to synthesise information, support decision‑making, and uphold transparent communication ensures that the Management Committee functions smoothly and in alignment with good governance practice.
